Sales, Surveys and Chocolate!

Firstly we have a delicious and ever so easy chocolate recipe. Pictured above, go see our 3 ingredient raw chocolate bites here!

Inspired by that amazing £2.50 sale mentioned last time (still on, by the way) we have created a page to list all the sales, bargains and discounted shops we come across. Visit it here.

The Make a Few Pounds page has been updated with some new providers of paid surveys and cashback including Respondi Mingle and Swagbucks.

We hope you’re all enjoying the season of swirling leaves and conkers!

Forget shoes for £5, how about £2.50?

The website Everything5Pounds.com, that sells overstocked clothes, shoes and homeware from leading High St shops, has a sale on with over 3000 lines now priced at £2.50! Go see it here.

Short and sweet, but slightly time sensitive, this time 🙂

Shoes for £5 & Chocolate Chips!

It’s so autumnal here in Scotland now, which is fitting as this week brings the Autumn Equinox. Recommended for this time of year: all our soup recipes and homemade Apple Pie!

New to the Around the House section is the website Everything5Pounds which is exactly like it sounds. It sells mainly shoes and clothes, overstocks from the big High street stores, with some home wares too. While browsing the shoes we kept saying ‘Oh those look nice, wonder if they’re really expensive? Oh yes, £5…’

Moo Free Chocolates are running an alternative free from Bake Off competition. This is the last day to vote on the recipes for a chance to be 1 of 3 winners of 2 bags of Original Organic Baking Drops! We draw your attention to the low waste entry from Vegan Family House which uses Aquafaba, the water that’s usually thrown away from a tin of chick peas, to make light and fluffy pancakes. Poll here (closes 12 noon today).

It’s still coming: Frugal Christmas

Don’t forget, we’re now on Facebook, if you fancy following us there.

Here’s hoping for some more sunny days!

A Brambley Update

Last time we had pies, this time it’s cake! We have two new recipes, both using seasonal ingredients. First there’s the wonderful Apple, Banana and Raisin Cake which contains no gluten and no refined sugar. Then we have Bramble Chocolate Chip Cakes which are every so slightly purple!

New to the Freebies Page are a free audio book from Audible and Free 6 month trial of Amazon Prime for students.

On the Make a Few Pounds section we have added information about Facebook selling groups.

Cheaper ways to shop on Amazon now include their Certified Refurbished section and their Outlet for overstocks and marked down items.

Spring is almost Sprung!

snowdrop

Spring is almost sprung, it’s just waiting there on the verge! While it’s still cold we’re tucking in to hearty and warming meals such as our new recipe: Sausage and Bean Pie

Wild garlic is beginning to poke its shoots up in the woods; some areas may be further along than us so don’t forget our wild garlic soup and pesto!
